Craig Wright has filed Copyright registration for Bitcoin white paper published by Satoshi Nakamoto back in 2008.

The court documents show that the US copyright office has registration with Craig Wright as the author of the Bitcoin white paper and most of the original code used in Bitcoin.

The Australian entrepreneur, Craig Wright has long claimed himself as the creator of Bitcoin with pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.

In a press release on 21 May claims that US officials received confirmation that Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto, but the news has been trolled by crypto commentators.

Jerry Brito, executive director at non-profit organization Coin Center, tweeted:

“Registering a copyright is just filing a form. The Copyright Office does not investigate the validity of the claim; they just register it. Unfortunately, there is no official way to challenge a registration. If there are competing claims, the Office will just register all of them.”

According to the press release, Craig is trying to prove himself as the Bitcoin creator after the failure of Bitcoin Satoshi Vision which is bastardized by developers and exchanges.

There are rumours that Craig is planning to assign the copyright registrations to the Bitcoin Organisation.

Craig Wright is currently the chief scientist at a startup known as nChain. Wright is known for his satoshi claimed tweets and attracting controversy with major crypto platforms that delist the Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV), the hardfork of Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV) has reacted to the news and become the top gainer of the day, BSV gains more than 70 percent.
