Reportedly Joe Biden’s re-election campaign began reaching out to key figures in the cryptocurrency industry.

Joe Biden is the current US president and currently he is looking forward to winning the upcoming presidential election, which is scheduled for Nov 2024. Under the presidency of Biden, many anti-crypto bills passed, which badly hurted the positive sentiments of crypto people.

On 29 May 2024, TheBlock reported that President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign is now talking to prominent crypto advocates in the cryptocurrency sector for advice on crypto policies. This is a big change from how Biden has kept his distance from the industry before. The discussions are still happening, and the sources who shared this information want to stay anonymous because the talks are sensitive.

Sources also disclosed that Biden started to shift his inclination toward the crypto sector for the last couple of weeks because he now thinks his crypto hater stance could badly impact a presidential election that is likely to be quite close.

It is worth it to note that the recently top crypto advocates opposed the Biden administration’s plan to veto the repeal of SAB 121, a bill by the US SEC that prohibited the institutions from providing crypto asset custody services.

Biden’s rival Donald Trump

The former US president Donald Trump is also currently running for the US presidential election. As part of the election campaign, Trump showed his full support for the crypto sector.

Trump openly told crypto people to vote for Trump, if they want to see crypto adoption in the US jurisdiction.
