eBay which currently holds 180 million users is now actively going to pursue and accept Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payments.
After some of the major annual events organised this year it seems like that the firm is deliberately targeting attendees imagination and get up to their expectations.
After the advertisements and the follow-ups and the photographs going viral day by day via the social media and the mainstream media alike and hence the debate continues over to engulf the Cryptocurrency community.
But all this looks like a Third party play and here’s how.
As per an Australian magazine, Micky notes the firm eBay is suggested to be partnering which a specific payments platform that accepts various different Cryptocurrency at a time on behalf of merchants and instantly paying them in Fiat Currency.
So the platform is UTRUST which was undertaken via the former executive of eBay and PayPal Sanja Kon to take over the global partnership expansion.
Currently, UTRUST supports Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ripple but seeing further growth in the upcoming years will soon make the spawn of its own native token which would most likely be featuring any form of acceptance deal.
But all this has no joy for the PayPal,
As Bitcoinik reported last week, PayPal remains decidedly pro-Blockchain but hands-off on Bitcoin.
CFO John Rainey told Yahoo! Finance in an interview,
We have teams working on blockchain and cryptocurrency as well, and we want to take part in that in whatever form that takes in the future – I just think it’s a little early on right now.
