The most popular Bitcoin wallet Electrum announced to integrate the bitcoin lightning network into its wallet services reported on 5 July 2019.
According to the report, the electrum support for the lightning network was reported on Telegram by the Russian cryptocurrency news outlet Forklog.
The Report also said that the founder of Electrum, Thomas Voegtlin had disclosed the next release at the ongoing BIP001 conference in Odessa (Ukraine) by updating on social media.
For being the oldest bitcoin wallet Electrum by providing its services since 2011 in the crypto market claimed that the functionality of lightning network would come as part of an impending major upgrade.
By using the ‘off-chain’ scaling mechanism the Lightning enables users to send bitcoin or satoshis to each other by paying a negligible transaction fee of some satoshis with almost instantaneously.
