Global crypto exchange FTX’ Europe subsidiary will hire a former regulator of the Securities and Markets Division to lead the exchange in the European Union.
FTX is a global crypto exchange and known for its advertisement activities at big levels. Exchange is currently actively offering its crypto services to many countries and standing at 3rd rank by 24 hours trade volume. The exchange also has its hand in multiple Innovative crypto and blockchain projects.
On 28 March announcement came from FTX Europe about its hiring of Marcel Lötscher, who is the former head of the Securities and Markets Division at the country’s financial regulator.
From October of this year, he will acquire his position officially at FTX Europe as a European Union strategy lead of Exchange.
In the past, Marcel did work for around 10 years in the Securities and Markets Division at the country’s financial regulator as a head of the department. This is a clear indication of their level of reach and talent to handle the regulatory and legal works in the EU for this Crypto exchange.
Around a week ago, FTX announced its success with its regulatory approval from Cyprus Arm. These things are showing that FTX exchange is rapidly expanding its services in Europe and the Middle East.
Interestingly FTX exchange was launched in 2020 and at present, the exchange is standing at 3rd rank globally and also its valuation is $8 billion. In January of this year, the exchange secured $400 million through a fundraising round.
Earlier on 16 March exchange did a partnership with BitPesa AZA Finance. Under the partnership, both teams will work on the Web3 economy-based development works. And also FTX will allow its African users to deposit and withdraw fiat currencies of local African continents.
