I don’t care about Bitcoin but care about blockchain, billionaire fund manager says

NewYork Mets owner explained why he is bullish on the crypto industry instead of a particular crypto asset like Bitcoin. 

Steve Cohen, billionaire fund manager and New York Mets owner, was skeptical about the future of crypto space and never gave importance to it and also sometimes tried to criticize crypto. But now he is showing his full interest in the Crypto space. 

In the SALT conference on Tuesday, Steve was also one of the attendy. And he shared his stance on the crypto in an interview with Bloomberg. 

In the interview, Steve says it was his “crypto maniac”. But he spent a huge time in the industry and he came to know that Crypto space is not about the internet and it is about the technology and future possibilities. 

“Once I decided there were opportunities, and I thought this could be a space like the internet — it could be incredibly transformational – I wasn’t going to miss this”- Cohen noted at the ‘Generating Alpha Markets in Baseball’ discussion”

Steve also said that he Invested in the crypto project with his possible capacity. That invested project is Radkl – a quantitative trading firm for digital assets.

Steve further asserted that he is not interested with a particular crypto token, instead is interested with the blockchain technology and future revolution 

“I don’t care about Bitcoin,” he said in an interview last week. “I care more about the technology behind the blockchain and how transformational it is and how disruptive it could be.”
