The ION project by the Microsoft company is developing Decentralized Identifiers which will protect users privacy and data leak solutions with the help of Bitcoin & Blockchain technology use.

Michael Saylor, CEO of MicroStrategy, shared a Microsoft’s article on twitter regarding DIDs ( Decentralised Identifiers).

Reports say, Microsoft is helping the ION project to develop Decentralized Identifiers ( DIDs). The identifiers will act as Anchor point that will keep all the activities recorded of the user on the internet in private coding mode.

This project idea will bring a right for internet users to help them to keep themselves safe from all types of government surveillance, data leak problem, security breaches, financial & credential data records  and prevent remote access of users profile through internet based tools.

So the main aim of ION project is to help users to keep themself anonymous in terms of security and safety from unusual cyber attacks.

Also the company stated

“If the goal of bitcoin is to eliminate the power of centralized institutions over money, ION is trying to do the same thing with online identities.”

Further they explained in their blog, They will use Bitcoin Blockchain and blockchain based technology to give privacy for users data protection. And also they believe that this is blockchain technology  which can help them to achieve a very high level of security then any other techniques.

According to the white paper of Microsoft at this project, every person can use their services, can store & collect data and  share his data but users will not be able to grant permission for every app/platform to access data so that no security breaches arise in DIDs.

Tech giant Experts believes, this idea of ION project & Microsoft will bring a huge level of security & safety for their users. Majority of the internet users at desktop are using Microsoft platform and this will lead into a better to use DIDs with their operating system in future. This will lower the chances of hacking & cyber attack for internet users.
