Popular Portuguese Sports Club SL Benfica Starts Accepting Cryptocurrency to buy tickets and merchandise reported on 6 June 2019.
The cryptocurrency service provider Utrust and SL Benfica are partnered together to allow cryptocurrency payments on the sports club SL Benfica.
Now the customers and sports fans can use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, or Utrust’s native token (UTK) to buy tickets and other products on the club’s website.
SL Benfica can easily get their revenue into cash directly as Utrust provides instant cryptocurrency-to-fiat conversion service.
SL Benfica says that its main goal is to increase their fanbase or number of customers by providing a new cryptocurrency payment option on their website as they already have approx seven million active fans on social media and around 14 million supporters worldwide.
The cryptocurrency is a very fast, cheap and secure way for doing online transactions, so the fans can be attracted by this new payment system hype.
