President Alberto Fernandez says no reason to say no. He clearly gives indication that they may adopt Bitcoin with green signal but inflation still remains a part of discussion in Argentina’s politics.

In the middle of July 2018, the authorities of Argentina were planning to bring rules to make Bitcoin as a payment option for the workers of Argentina. But now the president of Argentina clearly shows their interest toward Bitcoin adoption & potential.

In an interview on Caja Negra, Fernandez said that if they get suggestions to implement the idea of El Salvador to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender or bring Central Bank Digital Currency adoption then he will not take it into consideration.

But also clearly he said that there are no reasons also to say no for such innovative technology.

“I don’t want to go too far out on a limb ,,,, but there is no reason to say ‘no,’” “Perhaps that is a good path to take.”

So clearly, from his own point of view, Mr. President Fernandez is skeptical and has few doubts in his point of view. But at another side he can see huge opportunities that forces him not to say no.

Fernandez also considered the problem of inflammation and claimed that Argentina’s politics will raise issues regarding the decision on such things.

According to Argentina’s government data records on inflation, $100 at the beginning of Macri’s term would be equivalent to $661 today. So clearly he wants to explain the reason why the decision to adopt digital assets will make a measurable situation from the point of political pressure similar to the case of El Salvador, where many political parties criticized Nayib Bukele for their decision to adopt Bitcoin as legal currency.

At the end of the interview, he considers that we can’t ignore Bitcoin. But he is still tempered on Bitcoin or Digital assets adoption.
