Approximately six hours ago, from the time of writing this article, French authorities arrested Telegram’s founder & CEO, Pavel Durov, at an airport. The arrest is reportedly due to his support for free speech via the Telegram platform.
In response, many people have voiced their support for Durov, including Elon Musk, the world’s richest person.

Response from El Salvador’s President
Nayib Bukele, President of Bitcoin bull country El Salvador, highlighted the benefits of living under El Salvador’s jurisdiction. He stated that El Salvador is the safest country in the Western Hemisphere and guarantees that no one will be arrested, censored, or have their assets seized for exercising free speech. Additionally, there is no property tax in El Salvador.

El Salvador’s Bitcoin Adoption and Achievements
In September 2021, El Salvador officially introduced Bitcoin as legal tender under Nayib Bukele’s leadership. Before Bukele’s leadership, El Salvador faced significant issues with gang violence and drug-related activities. However, under his leadership, the country adopted Bitcoin and aggressively combated crime.
