Starbucks With Microsoft Plans to Bring Coffee Tracking platform based on Blockchain

Starbucks a United States based Coffee supplier is soon going to implement Microsoft’s Azure Blockchain Service to have a track on the total coffee production as per the GeekWire report on 6th of May.

Previously before this initiative, Starbucks had it’s “Bean to cup” initiative in 2018 which was programmed to work with farmers of the major Coffee producing areas like of Costa Rica, Colombia, and Rwanda to track their coffee production.

They assured that it will be helping both the producers and the consumer to track the coffee production and plan for future opportunities.

Both the companies together presented a number of joint initiatives at Microsoft’s Build conference. The projects include predictive drive-thru ordering and connecting the Internet of things at the various cafe at different locations.

While the announcement of Microsoft Azure in recent days. It is based on the Blockchain-as-a-Service(BaaS)  and currently has support for Quorum which is an Ethereum based Platform by JPMorgan.

It has also been in the news that suggests that Starbucks will soon start to accept Bitcoin (BTC) based payments via the help of American Cryptocurrency Trading platform Bakkt.

With this remedy on payments will be left as a processing payment cause its payments will be instantly transferred into Fiat-based Currency.
