Tonga to accept Bitcoin donation, amid volcanic shock wave

The Government of Tonga officially takes support from this crypto industry by accepting donations in Bitcoin. 

Tonga is a crypto-friendly region in the world, where officials of Tonga are open to going with the adoption of Bitcoin as legal tender, and also they have open hands to catch the Blockchain innovations. 

On 14 January, the Kingdom of Tonga faced a big shockwave of the Volcanic wave. People are forced to leave Tongatapu, to go to a better and safer place. The majority of the people are in fear that a tsunami may occur soon, so they are looking for a better place. 

In this critical situation, the citizens of Tong needed huge sympathy and financial support.  Onair Blair, a Twitter user, and bitcoin suporter, urged the crypto industry to show sympathy to fight against this critical situation going in Tonga. Blair suggested creating a Bitcoin wallet for the Relief Fund.

Ford Fusion, the former official at Tong parliament, tweeted with the donation address of Bitcoin, where people can pay donations in crypto. 

The comments below this tweet can be seen, which are showing that people from the whole world are supporting Tonga, without any restriction of the location and this is showing the power of decentralized currency Bitcoin. 

Few days ago, Lord Fusitu’a confirmed through Twitter that Bitcoin adoption as a currency by Tonga is in process and there are chances that Tonga will adopt it legally in the fourth quarter of this year. 

Hopefully, this situation will be understood by almost every country in the same manner and they will consider adopting Bitcoin, no matter whether they provide legal status to Bitcoin in terms of currency or asset.
