Walmart-Litecoin Troll Could Face 5 year federal prison

Walmart and Globe NewsWire are now investigating who was behind this fake news of partnership between litecoin and Walmart.

On 13 September, news was spreading in the crypto market that Walmart partnered with Litecoin to accept crypto payments directly. This news was spreading almost all over the Crypto platform whether it was the community of telegram or twitter. But later Walmart company clearly said that all the rumours are fake. 

Walmart noticed that fake news was started at the social Media twitter and after that news was published on a news website Globe NewsWire stated that “Wal-Mart Inc secured a partnership with the Litecoin Foundation to accept the cryptocurrency”. 

As we know, Walmart is a publicly listed company, so it is usual that Walmart may face some negative impact against their reputation. So Walmart will investigate it. 

In addition to Walmart’s action, Globe NewsWire Also claimed that they will also investigate it with the appropriate authorities.

“We will work with the appropriate authorities to request – and facilitate – a full investigation, including into any criminal activity associated with this matter.”

Here it should be noticed that, if the person who started to spread the news of Walmart-Litcoin partnership, if catched. Then that guy will face punishment of 5 year prison as per Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
