Tron Announce MainNet Upgrade for Better Security

Tron has announced a mainnet upgrade for Tron blockchain Odyssey, the Blockchain will be upgraded to version 3.6 announced in an official blog post on 18 June.

Tron network is a platform to develop decentralized apps (DApps). Developers can create DApps on Tron protocol as well as Tron Virtual Machine.

The new version 3.6 of Odyssey contains new features to enhance security and make it easier to create DApps on the platform. The new features do some routine improvement in the Blockchain and improve stability and scalability.

The blog post further explains:

“Implement a more lightweight built-in event server, providing convenience for DApp developers to customize their own event service when they choose to switch on this feature. Enhance protocol data check to prevent malicious data on the chain”.

The post also claims that Tron Blockchain can handle tens of thousands of transactions per second (TPS). According to Tron official website, currently, Tron Blockchain can handle 2000 transactions per second (TPS), whereas Ethereum (ETH) network only do 25 TPS and Bitcoin (BTC) do 3-7 TPS.

Justin Sun, the CEO of Tron tweeted:

“TRON will be 200x faster vs. ETH, 100x cheaper vs. EOS. dApp developers & users, this one is for you!”

Tron (TRX) is now trading at $0.33 and has a total market cap of $2.2 Billion. Tron (TRX) is at 12th position according to Coinmarketcap data.
