25% population of El Salvador using Bitcoin wallet
In a recent tweet, the President of El Salvador confirmed that more than 25% of the population of El Salvador is using Bitcoin wallet.
Before the Bitcoin law of El Salvador on 7, Many reports and surveys showed that less than 20% of El Salvador’s citizens are supporting the Bitcoin law to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender. But recent practical results show that the actual interest of the citizens of El Salvador is totally different.

On 21 September, Nayib Bukele, president of El Salvador, tweeted that 1.6 million people of El Salvador were using Chivo wallet.
As 1.6 million is 25% of the total population of El Salvador, so we can say more than the people who responded in the bitcoin law survey of El Salvador, are using Bitcoin.
In the second last tweet of Nayib Bukele on the growth of the users of Chivo wallet, Nayib informed that a total of 1.1 million people were using Chivo wallet.
So a clear growth in the Chivo wallet (official Bitcoin wallet of El Salvador) users can be seen, which is contradictory to those multiple surveys.
Meanwhile, because of the rapid growth of the Chivo wallet users, Wallet is not able to handle the situation and getting errors in some selected types of mobile models and also there are some hidden bugs. Chivo wallet’s team is working hard to fix it.
