After getting blacklisted by the Russian Telecom Regulators the Binance platform said the crypto exchange website is still available but without additional access tools and the firm also confirms that the previous crypto funds are secure.

Authorities in Russia seem to be following the largest cryptocurrency exchange because its domain is now listed as one of the country’s illegal websites.

As on September 24, Binance officially announced via its Russian Telegram channel that its website has been added to the Register of Platforms disseminating prohibited information by Russian telecommunications operator Ross Komnadzor.

The announcement comes that Binance was placed into the list cause information on the purchase of bitcoin (BTC) of digital currencies is being distributed. Gleb Kostarev, head of economic operations in Russia and the CIS, told the Cointelegraph that the exchange received the news as soon as it received the notification from Rozkomnadzor.

As of now, the domain is listed as an invalid website, although Russians can access it without additional tools such as a VPN.

According to press time, the URL can be found in the register of areas blacklisted by Roskomnadzor. According to the details, the website was listed on June 2, 2020, and access to the website is “not limited.”

As the Roskomnadzor finance website alleges that it was blacklisted in June 2020, it appears that the plans announced in September 2020 have nothing to do with the binance plans to launch its crypto debit card in Russia.

In August last month, Roskomnadzor also blocked BestChange.ru, Russia’s largest cryptocurrency website, which used to provide aggregator services to 400 local crypto exchange websites.
