Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, has refused support to SHIB, and thus the Shiba Inu community seems to be looking forwards to billionaire Jeff Bezos for supporting SHIB.
Currently, there are three petitions on Change.org that collect a total of 173,373 signatures regarding the same.
“SHIB4Amazon – Ask Amazon to add SHIB as payment” – 47,526 people signed up.
“Request Robinhood to list Shiba Inu Coin” – 4,82,006 people signed up.
“Accept Shiba Inu cryptocurrency as payment for Amazon products and services” – 80,969 signatures.
Justin Taylor, the petitioner with the most signatures on Change.org’s petition page, wants the SHIB community to take serious time to get Amazon to accept the goods and services on the Amazon platform.
He further believes that it will bring benefits to Shiba Inu customers and Amazon.
Amazon has changed the world many times since it was created. We humbly request Amazon to do the same once again by accepting Shiba Inu.
As for the petition to list SHIB on Robinhood, the total number of signatures so far has reached 479,162.
Shiba Inu was rumoured to be going to Robinhood but has not been listed and the platform hasn’t suggested that it will be.
At the moment, Shiba Inu can be traded on Binance and Coinbase.
Elon Musk on rejected Shiba
Recently in a tweet, Elon Musk, head of Tesla and a big dogecoin lover, rejected Shiba Inu, saying he didn’t hold any of it.
This alienated the SHIB community from the man who was building space rockets aimed at Mars and, apparently, made them look for another patron. By launching petitions for Amazon, one would think that the community would be interested in another influential and “space flying” billionaire Meme Coin.
However, Bezos is leaving his position to Andy Joss and plans to step down as Amazon CEO later this year. Also, Jeff has not yet been caught tweeting anything about crypto – unless he holds Bitcoin or Doge.
AMC to accept Shiba
Adam Aaron, AMC chief executive officer, is also considering whether to accept payments in Shiba Inu (SHIB) on the film network as it enters the top 10 crypto assets under the meme coin market cap.
In a new poll, Aaron asked his 199,500 Twitter followers whether to accept AMC SHIB as a payment option for ticket purchases. Out of 135,664 votes, 86.5% said AMC would approve the SHIB.
“As we know, users can now buy AMC gift cards using cryptocurrency. We can soon accept online payments in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Dogecoin”
