UBC University Of Canada Launched Blockchain Training Course For Graduate Students

University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada has launched the blockchain training course for the graduate students reported on 11 June 2019.

The main goal of launching this blockchain training program is to develop knowledge regarding blockchain technology, and the implementation of this technology in four public benefit areas including health and wellness, clean energy, regulatory technology, and Indigenous issues.

UBC stated that they can train up to 139 students over six years time period, and the graduate students will be able to evaluate blockchain solutions as well as identify opportunities for blockchain implementation with the help of tools provided to them.

Mitacs is pleased to support UBC’s graduate blockchain initiative, which will foster innovation and the training of highly skilled talent to strengthen Canada’s leadership in this emerging area of multidisciplinary research and business transformation

Mitacs and 15 other industry partners will together provide the funding of CA$2.44 million for 156 internships and post-doctoral training projects.
