Discord platform will integrate Ethereum blockchain

The instant popular messaging platform is going to integrate the platform with the Ethereum blockchain to provide crypto services. 

In the present time, leading social media platforms are looking to dive into the crypto & blockchain industry through a better concept. Already Facebook, Twitter & Reddit are doing their work to integrate blockchain technology into their platform & services. Now in the latest Discord is going to jump into the crypto & blockchain world. 

Jason Citron- Founder of Discord platform- shared a screenshot of the prerelease integration of the Ethereum blockchain network with Discord. According to  Jason, Discord will allow its users to participate in the initiatives such as NFTs, Web 3.0 and token adoption. 

The new initiative of Discord in the blockchain industry will also bring support for the Metamask & wallet to connect web wallets for their users. 

This initiative of the Discord platform is coming after a recent tweet of Packy McCormick, founder of Not Boring. Packy worte on Twitter 

“Imagine a human website. Imagine a place where dank memes flow like honey. Imagine a place where potatoes thrive. Imagine a place where humans and bots live in harmony. Imagine, in other words, a place like Discord.”

In reply, the Discord founder tweeted the announcement of the initiative of the Discord platform in the blockchain world. 

The upcoming initiative of the Discord platform is appreciated by many techs believes but on the other hand, some discord users criticized this initiative and claimed that the new initiative of the Discord may end up in carbon emissions, money laundering and uncertainties within the non-fungible token (NFT) market.
