Sunflower Farmers causing high load on Polygon network

Polygon network-facing very high load because of a single Play-to-earn game.

Polygon network is a Layer2 scaling solution crypto project. This project entered the crypto industry with its aim to bring huge efficiency to the Ethereum blockchain network through the integration of layer 2 scaling solution so that Ethereum blockchain network-based tokens and crypto project users can get low-cost crypto assets transactions. But nowadays, Polygon is facing a huge load.

Sunflower Farmers is a Play-to-earn game, which launched in December 2021. Right now this game is under better use because of its early stage of blockchain integration in the gaming concept.

On one side users are loving it to use but on the other side, it is causing a big problem for the Polygon network. Around 42% of transactions are under consumption by this game alone in the Polygon network.

So due to this high load, transaction fees of the polygon network surged around 16 fold.

Many users raised their voices against this thing on social media platforms.

For many new DApps protocols, it became a very tedious thing to work on a high efficiency-based network. For instance, an NFTs rental  Double protocol was postponed to launch by 5 January ( yesterday) because it was waiting for the alpha pass.

Thomas Kerbl, the Security analyst, noted that there are chances that bots are coming more rapidly in the incentivized farming game.

The available data by the DappRadar noted that around 1.1 million transactions had been facilitated by the 330,000 users on 4 June. And on the same day, transaction fees on the polygon network jumped from roughly $0.03 to $0.44. And also in that period, fees surged to around $1 for some time.

These things are now raising a big question that how a single dApp may be responsible to put a higa high traffic load on the whole blockchain network.
