RippleNet GM left his role from the company
Asheesh Birla left his role position from Ripple after 9 years of work.
Ripple is a San Francisco-based Fintech firm, which is known to provide payment services internationally to small and big businesses. Ripple uses its XRP ledger blockchain technology to facilitate payment services. At present, Ripple is under legal hurdles because of the lawsuit filed by US Securities regulatory body.
On 9 June, Asheesh Birla, general manager of RippleNet, took to Twitter to inform the community that he is stepping down from RippleNet.
Asheesh said that it was awesome for him to work in Ripple in the last 9 years but at the same time he confirmed that he is not gonna join the board of directors positions but confirmed that he will work as a Crypto related Development supportive work.
“After ~9 amazing years I’ve decided to wrap up my day job at @Ripple. Luckily, I’m not going far as I join the Board of Directors, where I’ll continue to provide input on the company’s vision + strategy. I haven’t decided what’s next, but plan to continue BUIDL in crypto.”
Asheesh also dragged name of the popular crypto exchange Mt.Gox (which is no more available in services due to hack incident) and Binance exchange as two popular crypto exchanges of the crypto history.
RippleNet former GM also talked about the crypto industry legend & founder of Ethereum blockchain Vitalik Buterin. He said that Vitalik worked out in Ripple’s office in 2013.
Ripple vs SEC
No doubt that Ripple is standing as a leading blockchain technology user company, which is continuously making payment systems better with the use of blockchain technology. But Ripple is currently under huge legal hurdles.
In December 2020, US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a lawsuit against Ripple. Through the filed lawsuit, the SEC agency claimed that Ripple’s XRP token is a security, which is not registered with the agency.
